Data-driven design of affirmative-action policies (Research Assistant / Summer Intern)
In this project, you will develop algorithms to design affirmative-action policies in the context of university admissions. The goal is to devise university admission mechanisms that favor candidates from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds without sacrifice in terms of the academic quality of accepted applicants. For the purposes of this research, you will have access to large collections of university admission data.
